Dec 13:Broadway in Evansville Series: The Wizard of Oz - The entire family will be captivated as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road and beyond with Dorothy, Toto and their friends in this lavish production, featuring breathtaking special effects and classic songs. A spectacular celebration of the iconic 1939 MGM film. The Wizard of Oz will blow you away from the moment the tornado touches down and transports you to a dazzling Oz, complete with munchkins and flying monkeys. Begins at 7 p.m.

Dec 17:Oak Ridge Boys Christmas Show - The Boys Are Back At Christmas, and it's like two shows in one as the Oak Ridge Boys kick off this big show with their world famous four-part harmonies and string of hits that span over 3 decades. Toes will be a tappin' to smash hits “Elvira” and “Bobbie Sue” plus many more award winning songs. Then, after a short intermission, the stage is transformed and it's Christmas! The trees are decorated, the snow is falling and the Oak Ridge Boys treat you to Christmas favorites as only they can. From rollicking Santa songs to heartfelt standards, this show is a family favorite for kicking off the holiday season.

Dec 4-6, 11-13, 18-20:Pippin - We’ve got Magic to do, just for you! One of Broadway’s biggest hits comes to the Civic stage bringing the dance styles of legendary choreographer Bob Fosse and the music of three time Oscar Winning composer Stephen Schwartz bursting with one show-stopping number after another. It’s a show about life, living, and the pursuit of happiness, and will feature a large cast of Civic Theatre veterans and newcomers! Considered a modern classic, this hip, tongue-in-cheek, anachronistic fairy tale has captivated Broadway audiences for years and continues to appeal to the young at heart everywhere. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m.

Through January 31:41st Annual Mid-States Craft Exhibition - The juror for this six-state competition is Jane Sauer, Director of the Jane Sauer Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Known for her outstanding reputation among art collectors, museum curators, art critics, and artists, Jane has 34 years of experience as both an innovative studio artist and gallery director. She has served in leadership roles as a volunteer with the National Advisory Board to the Washington University School of Art, St. Louis, Missouri; Friends of Contemporary Art, New Mexico Museum of Art, Santa Fe; and the American Craft Council, serving as Chair from 1997-2000. Ms. Sauer will visit Evansville in November to make final selections from several hundred entries in the categories of ceramics, wood, jewelry, textiles, glass, and mixed media.

Through January 3:Ritzy's Fantasy of Lights - The largest winter light show in Indiana benefits local children and adults with disabilities. The drive-through event features a mile of sparkling lights on elaborate "fantasyland" scenes. Horse-drawn carriage rides available nightly.

Dec 4:Community Christmas with The MCC Singers & Boston Brass - The MCC Singers, under the direction of Sarah Adams, team up with one of the world’s finest brass ensembles for their annual Christmas celebration. Boston Brass is setting new standards in entertainment. From exciting classical arrangements, to breathtaking vocal harmony, to burning jazz standards, Boston Brass achieves new levels in brass performance while treating audiences with a unique musical experience that captivates all ages. The ensemble's lively repartee, touched with humor and personality, bridges the vast ocean of classical formality to delight audiences to an evening of boisterous fun, exciting knowledge and an enthusiastic love of music, deftly exhibited by five brash brass players. Dec 5:The Three Redneck Tenors  - These real life Broadway and Opera stars are ready to rock your holidays with classic, pop and deep-fried fest of musical delights. The familiar holiday tunes in the show include classics like: White Christmas, I'll Be Home for Christmas, Santa Baby, Blue Christmas, O Holy Night, and Silent Night. You'll also enjoy holiday spoofs like Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus and a few other great surprises. Starts at 7:30 p.m.

Dec 13:Children’s Nutcracker  - Presented by the Children's Center for Dance Education, this unique Holiday performance begins at 3 p.m.
