On Saturday, November 1, the Evansville Museum, in partnership with FIFTH THIRD BANK and the MTK FUND, will present CARNIVALE, an evening that will include recognition of very special Museum friends, RITA AND RICHARD EYKAMP AND THE EYKAMP FAMILY.

Richard’s late parents, George and Dorothy Eykamp, were major contributors to the Museum and established its first-ever endowed Chair, The Dorothy and George Eykamp Director of the Koch Science Center and Planetarium.  This represented an important moment in the life of the Museum, setting the precedent for the establishment of the three additional Chairs that have since followed.

Rita is a past Museum Trustee, member of our Advisory Council, and recipient of our Distinguished Service Medal, the highest award that this institution can bestow.  She and Richard continue to be at the forefront of Museum supporters, having significantly pledged to the recently announced plans for the Museum’s major facility expansion that Rita is chairing.

Co-chaired by SUSAN and JOHN DANIEL and MARTHA and JON GOLDMAN, the Black Tie event will begin in the Crescent Galleries with Cocktails and a Silent Auction, after which guests will be seated in the Old Gallery where they will enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared by Kirby’s.

The focal point for this year’s Gala will be a Live Art Auction conducted by auctioneer Andrew Wilson.  Original works of art have been secured from artists and galleries throughout the United States and western Europe, with proceeds benefiting the Museum’s General Operating Budget.

The evening will feature performances by JAMES and JULIE ANN WHITE as well as the EYKAMP STRING QUARTET.

Reservations are $150 per person.
