The Harvest Festival and Hayrides at Wesselman Woods will begin tomorrow evening and will feature seasonal activities such as hayrides, leaf rubbing, live animal encounters, holiday crafts, an autumn campfire, guided hikes, and more.

“This is a great opportunity for families and friends to enjoy our colorful fall season in Evansville’s old growth forest,” said Wesselman Nature Society Executive Director Kim Meadors.

Wesselman Park will be closed to traffic during the event to ensure the safety of festival goers as they enjoy a hayride through the park and past Halloween-theme displays. Hayrides will stop at the entrance of Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve where the Harvest Festival atmosphere will thrill the kids and offer a nostalgic and fun experience for parents as well. Meanwhile, hayrides will continually circle the park for those who just want to relax and soak up the autumn scenery, and delicious treats will also be available for purchase.
