2nd Street Boat Ramp, Departure: 5 PM

Vessel: Delta Queen. Arrival: Noon. Riverboats routinely make stops in Henderson throughout the summer. For security reasons, tours of the boats are not available to non-passengers, but visitors are welcome to join in the fun and greet the riverboats as they arrive. Horsing Around 5K and Family Day

The popular 5K race is back with the 5K run, walk & challenged athletes divisions. Participants will start from the Ellis Park starting gate and end on the finish line on the race track! The Pony Express Kids Dash follows the 5K at 9:45 AM. Participation is free for children. Early entry registration deadline is October 11, 2008.

Scavenger Hunt

Audubon Mill Park 10 AM

Matthew 25 AIDS Services, Inc. is hosting its first-ever fundraising scavenger hunt. The event will lead its participants all over Henderson County on a chase for some very bizarre and dated items. The scavenger hunt will include all ages, with a $5 entry fee per person. Participants should meet at to receive their list of items and a list of rules. The winning team will receive half of the proceeds, up to $200. The remainder of the proceeds will go to Matthew 25 AIDS Services, the local nonprofit organization that supports, educates, and treats those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
